2026 GOAL Symposium highlights interdisciplinary aging research at FSU
SDSC faculty member Amber DeJohn recently hosted the Geographies of Aging and the Life Course (GOAL) Symposium at Florida State University, marking the first independent meeting of the group's interdisciplinary community of scholars.
Supported by college funding at FSU, the symposium brought together researchers working across aging, health, geography, and related fields. Several SDSC faculty members participated in the event, including Mason Mathews, Weining Kan, Stephen Liwur, Ziqi Li, and Amber DeJohn.
The symposium reflects SDSC's growing engagement with aging research and cross-disciplinary collaboration on questions of health, mobility, and community well-being.
